Hello, everyone! 10th September is the Ganesh Chaturthi 2021. And I am so excited to share with you the Modak recipes, which I tried yesterday with my sister. The amazing part is that we got four different types of Modaks just from one dough. These four Modak recipes are visually tempting as well as flavorful to soothe our palate. No wonder, offering these Modaks to Lord Ganesha will definitely get showers of his blessings in our lives.
The best part of these recipes is that we prepared them from milk powder as the basic ingredients. So we did not need to buy mawa or khoya from the market, as we made mawa from milk powder. These modak recipes with milk powder have no comparison with the store-bought mawa modaks because they are fresh, without fear of any adulteration or stale mawa.
Now the question is, what are the four Instant & Easy Modak Recipes which we got from just one dough?
No more waiting, let’s directly come to that point. Here they are-
1. Dryfruit Mawa/ Khoya Modak
2. Chocolate Modak
3. Paan Modak
4. Gulkand Modak
We will discuss these modak recipes in detail, but before that, we first learn how to make the perfect dough for Modaks.

Step By Step Guide With Photos:
1. Take a pan, add milk powder, and slowly mix the milk. Remember we do not have to switch on the flame at this moment.

2. Remove all the lumps from the milk powder and milk mixture by gently stirring, and add ghee. Now switch on the flame. Continue to stir the mixture for 3-4 minutes.

3. The milk powder, milk, and ghee mixture would look like the below image.

4. Now switch off the flame, and let the mixture cool for some time. When the mixture is lukewarm, add powdered sugar.

5. Mix the sugar powder in the mixture well, and knead it to get a soft dough.

6. Divide the dough into 4 equal parts.

Time Details For the Recipe
Preparation time: 5 minutes
Cook Time: 4 Minutes
Total Time: 9 Minutes.
Ingredients:
- 200 Grams Sweetened Milk Powder (Nestle)
- 3/4th Cup milk at room temperature (12 Tablespoon)
- 4 Tablespoon ghee
- 1/4th cup powdered sugar (4 Tablespoon)
Method:
- Do not switch on the flame.
- Take milk powder in a pan and slowly add milk.
- Continue mixing milk powder and milk by adding milk in intervals. Avoid any lumps.
- Now add ghee and mix all ingredients well.
- Switch on the flame on medium and continuously stir the mixture.
- When the mixture is heated, switch the flame to low heat and continuously stir it.
- After cooking for 3-4 minutes, switch off the flame and continously stir for some more time.
- Let the mixture cool slightly. You will see the mixure will get little thicker as it cools, and will get the consistency of soft mawa.
- When the mixure is still warm, transfer it in a bigger plate, and add sugar powder.
- Knead mawa and sugar mixure for few minutes, so that the sugar gets completely dissolved and you get the soft dough.
- Now divide the dough into four equal parts.
Note: With each portion size of mawa dough, you will make 3 modaks of each type. In total, you will get 12 modaks.
